Tenure-track faculty position in Chemistry and Engineering
Description
The Departments of Chemistry and Engineering at md传媒国产剧 College invite applications for聽a tenure-track faculty position聽at the assistant professor level, to begin in the fall of 2026. We seek candidates who use experimental approaches to address fundamental and applied challenges in the broad areas of Renewable Energy and Sustainability. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a rigorous, externally funded research program that complements and enhances the existing strengths in both the Chemistry and Engineering Departments. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching chemistry and materials science courses at all levels and undergraduate engineering classes in related聽areas. Candidates should be committed to聽enthusiastically mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and engaging in all aspects of the聽Departments' activities.
Successful applicants will join md传媒国产剧 College at the rank of Assistant Professor with a primary appointment in the Department of Chemistry, and a joint appointment in the Department of Engineering. They will be part of an internationally recognized faculty with a strong commitment to preparing their students for leadership positions in academia and industry. The Chemistry and the Engineering Departments are part of md传媒国产剧 College鈥檚 vibrant and growing scientific research community, which includes the Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society. This $300 million investment into the sciences includes a new 150,000 square foot science center with state-of-the-art clean room facilities.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a doctorate in Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related area. Selected candidates will have a distinguished scientific publication record, leadership experience in past and current research projects, and creative research and teaching plans.

- Statement of research directions (~4-6 pages) that includes a one-page written or graphical summary
